Our Story

Hi!  My name is Natalia Levina and I immigrated to the United States from Soviet Union in 1994 as a Jewish refugee with my young son. My passion for art began with ceramic, and later I fell in love with stones and metalsmithing. Since then, I have taught myself many new techniques, primary by improvising and experimenting. My pieces of art are always magic to me. They grow and develop by themselves.  Many of my pieces were born from the process of playing with metal and sculpting one-of-a-kind pieces without any prior sketch work. Every time it is mystery of birth.  I collect leaves, branches, and unusual plants to convert them into jewelry as parts of my design. Metal and stones start to “talk” to each other and become a floral or sculptural composition.  Materials I choose to include are sterling silver, gold, copper, and stones.
Classical music I listen to during my work helps with harmony, balance, and peace. When I make my jewelry, I hope it will not be just wearable art, but also a conversation, connection, encouragement and reminder, rekindling memory and inspiring thoughts telling spontaneous stories. It is a meditation process that leads a jewelry object to what it is meant to be. I appreciate that my jewelry becomes a part of self-expression and a statement of individuality for those who wear it. I believe my work makes people more beautiful and therefore happier.
